DIPLOMA IN COMMERCE 2007
Institut Sinaran (Diploma in Commerce 2007) alumni dropped by the campus to donate volleyballs and first aid kits to support the upcoming inter-class volleyball competition.
Volleyball Club President Ryan Raynold and Club Advisor Ms. Jossy Liew received the donations.
The alumni comprising Doris Tseu, Alex Lau, Stephanie Yap, Kelvin Goh, and Robin Chong are big fans of sports and games, hence gladly agreed to give back to the Sinaran community.
Tseu who represented the group said that the alumni are ready and happy to assist the Sinaran community. This is done by keeping in touch with lecturers and staff and connecting with the college.

Institut Sinaran and Tshung Tsin Alumni Professor Sze Yun Set in Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology of the University of Tokyo presented two lectures (4 parts) for Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education/Tokyo Global Studio online English education program for
school students recently.
The topics were on Laser Technologies and University Entrepreneurship.
EVAN PAN
Institut Sinaran Cambridge GCE A-Level Science (2005 - 2006)
Graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree at University of Cambridge, UK, Evan is now working in Sime Darby Berhad, Kuala Lumpur.
His role is in Strategic Planning for the Group, which primarily entails the formulation of enterprise strategies and business portfolio management.
As to how IS has helped him in pursuing his career ambitions, he writes "IS provided me with the academic guidance and opportunities to enhance my people skills which proved invaluable in my career.
Positive aspects include the quality of teaching, vibrant study culture and ample opportunities to develop relational skills through my participation in the Student Council. To my IS juniors, although good academic grades are essential to pursue a successful working career, one should not neglect the importance
DANIEL KOH
Institut Sinaran Cambridge GCE A-Level Science (2006 - 2007)
After leaving IS in 2007, Daniel continued his tertiary education at Monash University. With his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) (Hons), he now works as House Officer at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Daniel writes: "IS provided me a good learning place near home where I felt comfortable and focused on my A-Level exam, instead of readjusting to a new environment in a different city. IS is a small community where the lecturers and administration staff are approachable. So IS juniors, do choose something that you would like to do consistently because consistency is the key to success in life."
WENDY NG
Institut Sinaran Cambridge GCE A-Level Science (2005 - 2006)
With a degree in Chemical Engineering with Environmental Engineering at University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus, Wendy is a full time PHD candidate at University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus. She is also an attached project researcher at Global Green Synergy Sdn Bhd.
To her, IS provides good foundation of knowledge with strong academic principles. The lecturers are well-experienced in their field and they provide good learning environment to the students. Her advice to IS students is "Keep up the good spirit."
JANICE THIEN
Institut Sinaran Cambridge GCE A-Level Science (2006 - 2007)
After completing her Bachelor of Science and Master in Landscape Architecture in University of Sheffield, UK, Janice is currently doing International Master of Landscape Architecture in Germany.
Janice writes "Being the Health and Environment Councillor (2006) has inspired me to pursue landscape architecture to create/improve the environment for the well-being of the community or society. I especially enjoy the sense of being in a big family where students are given the opportunity to lead and unleash their potential with the guidance and advice from staff. I would urge IS students to make the best of the opportunities to integrate with fellow students and staff in both studies and activities."
