IS NIGHT CUM TEACHERS¡¯ DAY CELEBRATION 2008

¡¡

On 15 June 2008, the Pacific Sutera¡¯s Grand Ballroom played host to one of the most anticipated events of the year: IS Night. It is IS¡¯s tradition to give a grand, one-of-a kind farewell party to congratulate them on their achievements, as well as to celebrate their graduation.

The programme of the night commenced with the introduction of the IS Nite¡¯s emcees, followed by an opening performance by Douglas¡¯ band, the ¡°Off-keys¡±, as the graduates settled down. Mdm Lim Khoon Chin and Lindsay Michael gave their speeches of appreciation to the working committee for coordinating the night¡¯s program and congratulated the graduates.

Dinner was served while Delhousie Daniel Jambun and Yong Shu Kang serenaded all present by strumming their guitars. The performance was followed by the Teachers¡¯ Day Celebration session. Gifts were presented by group leaders to their respective lecturers and a cake-cutting ceremony was held, while ¡°inspirational¡± songs were sung. The dinner courses continued to be served, a duet was performed and lucky draws prizes given to lucky winners.  After that, the ¡°Stop and Stare¡± band performed.

Mr Chong Jenq and Miss Joanna Chong won the Best Dress Award for Staff Category. Yannik Anuar and Angelina Zi won the Best Dress Award for Students¡¯ Category. The programme then continued with lucky draws.

The exciting night and celebration came to an end with a final performance by Gloria and her team.  Liew Kwong Nyen was crowned the IS Night Prom King, and Michelle Elizabeth Johnny was crowned the IS Night Prom Queen. Thus concluded one of this year¡¯s greatest events, the success of which could not have been made possible without the commitment of those who wished to bid their seniors a most spectacular adieu.
