Institut Sinaran started in 1987 as Sabah Tshung Tsin  Pre-University Centre to provide affordable internationally recognized Pre-U qualification locally. Our excellent track record of academic  performance has garnered the confidence of the public and Institut Sinaran has since been established as the biggest A-Level Centre in East Malaysia and also a provider of our own Diploma in Commerce that has received  recognition from many universities locally and abroad.

2008 will be another milestone forward as we offer the South Australian Matriculation for the first time in East Malaysia. This was prompted by our observation that more and more of our students are furthering their studies in Australia and doing the matriculation here would be very cost effective.

Our good image and reputation as a provider of quality education at an affordable cost is further enhanced by our commitment towards leadership training and a holistic approach towards the growth and development of our students through participation in extra curricular activities. Our democratic culture of free campaigns and elections for our Student Council are nurturing our students to be effective and dynamic leaders of tomorrow.

Institut Sinaran is strategically situated along Jalan Damai, within a few minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu and conveniently located for outstation students as residential areas and shops are within walking distance from the Institute.

The pleasant, peaceful and well laid out campus ground  provides a conducive learning environment. The well equipped science and computer laboratories, well-stocked library, comfortable and air-conditioned lecture rooms and lecture theatre, complemented by the experienced, qualified and dedicated caring and approachable teaching staff, all contribute towards making learning in the Institute a pleasant and rewarding experience.
